Congressman Marc Veasey was born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas. He and his wife Tonya live in the Metroplex area and have a seven-year-old son, Adam.

United States Congressman Marc Veasey proudly represents Texas’ newly drawn Congressional District 33 in the U.S. House of Representatives.
First elected to the Texas State House in 2004, Congressman Veasey represented District 95 – an area now part of the 33rd Congressional District – for four consecutive terms. As a member of the Texas State House, Rep. Veasey served in a number of leadership positions including Democratic Whip and Chair of the Democratic Caucus.
Rep. Veasey serves on the House Armed Services Committee and on the Tactical Air and Land Forces Subcommittee, which oversees the weapons systems tied to his district. He also sits on the Science, Space and Technology Committee where he serves on Subcommittees on both Science and Energy. He is actively engaged in various congressional member organizations including the Congressional Army Aviation Caucus, the Congressional Black Caucus and the Congressional Small Business Information Technology Caucus.
Rep. Veasey earned a BA from Texas Wesleyan University, where he majored in Mass Communication.
