I am a native of Mills County, Texas.
1954 graduate of the University of Texas Petroleum Engineering School.
I am a Registered Petroleum Engineer in the State of Texas.
I have directed field research and management of oil and gas well services for the Dowell Division of the Dow Chemical Company (USA) and Dowell Schlumberger (worldwide), developing techniques, equipment, and chemicals for oil and gas well stimulation and control.
I have owned and operated my own cementing company for over 15 years. We plugged over 3,500 abandoned wells for the Railroad Commission in the State of Texas.
I was responsible for training field supervisors and staff engineering personnel all over the world.
I was the top salesman for Dowell-Schlumberger worldwide for well services contracts in the United States, the Persian Gulf, North Africa, South America, and the North Sea. I was responsible for writing and selling multi-million dollar contracts for oil and gas well services onshore and offshore.
I was the primary engineer for development of Occidental Petroleum in Libya and the beginning of Occidental becoming the 4th largest oil company in the world in the late 1960s and early 1970s.
2nd Lieutenant in the U.S. Air Force.
Board Member of the Senate Bill 1, Texas 50 year water planning, Lower Colorado River Authority planning group.
President of the Fox Crossing Water District of Central Texas.
I have been City Manager for Hamilton and Lampasas, oversaw building water and sewer treatment plants, and worked with TXDOT on bridge right-of-way and roadbed design.
Former County Commissioner for Mills County.
Currently Kempner Water District board member.
