Wade Brown was born to Johnny and Kay Brown in Big Lake, Texas on February 11, 1970. He currently resides in May, Texas with his wife Sarah and their four children, Samuel, Abigail, Clara, and Oliver.

Attended Howard Payne University in Brownwood and graduated from Southwest Texas State University (now Texas State University) in San Marcos, Texas. He has a bachelor's summa cum laude in geography, with minors in Spanish and education. Beyond his bachelor's, Wade is a graduate of the Expeditionary Warfare School (USMC), and has studied Arabic, cartography, deaf education, and Divinity in both baccalaureate and graduate settings.

Profession (professional and work experience outside politics)

Prior to his military service, Wade owned and operated two small businesses full-time for three years, including a commercial and residential Christmas decoration company and a residential salt delivery business. He is an entrepreneur at heart, and is currently self-employed in real estate investing and additional business start-up activities.

Prior to his business endeavors, Wade served as a high school teacher covering the subjects of Spanish and geography.

Military (branch, years of service, active duty experience, highest rank, medals, honors, type and date of discharge)

Currently a major in the United States Marine Corps Reserve attached to II Marine Expeditionary Force.

Entrusted with a lieutenant colonel billet in charge of a senior-level staff and had policy oversight for accountability and maintenance of approximately 25% of the Marine Corps’ total ground combat equipment.

Conducted classified readiness analysis and reporting on a major ground combat element to Headquarters Marine Corps.

Served as senior Marine planner in a deployed Joint environment dealing with classified real-world counter-terrorism and counter-piracy operations.

Assigned to conduct a summary court martial-at-sea; adjudicated a felony assault case. Conducted multiple high-level investigations regarding service members accused of violating the Uniform Code of Military Justice in domestic, deployed, and foreign environments.

22 years of total military service, 12 years active duty, three deployments; combat veteran.

He served as a youth minister at First Baptist Church, Buda, Texas.
